Openings: Junior QA Engineer & Senior QA Engineer

Role Summary

We are looking for detail-oriented Software QA Engineers to ensure the quality and reliability of our software applications. The QA Engineer will be responsible for analyzing business scenarios, designing and executing test cases, performing manual testing, identifying defects, and ensuring that software changes meet business and functional requirements before release.

This role requires close collaboration with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Software Engineers, Solution Architects, Delivery Managers, and support teams to deliver high-quality software solutions in an Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

1. Business Scenario & Requirement Analysis

Analyze business scenarios, user journeys, business requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria to identify clear and practical test scenarios.
Understand business logic and end-user workflows to ensure that testing reflects real operational needs.
Clarify unclear requirements with Product Owners, Business Analysts, and development teams to ensure requirements are testable and complete.
Identify potential gaps, edge cases, negative scenarios, and business risks during requirement review.

2. Manual Test Design

Design comprehensive manual test cases, test scenarios, and test data based on functional and non-functional requirements.
Ensure test coverage for functional testing, integration testing, regression testing, smoke testing, and UAT support.
Maintain traceability between business requirements, acceptance criteria, and test cases.
Prepare test documentation clearly and accurately.

3. Manual Test Execution

Execute manual test cases and validate software functionality against business and technical requirements.
Perform functional testing, regression testing, integration testing, and re-testing after bug fixes.
Ensure test execution is completed according to sprint and release timelines.
Support UAT preparation and validation when required.

4. Defect Management

Log defects clearly with reproduction steps, expected results, actual results, screenshots/logs, and severity/priority.
Collaborate with developers and business stakeholders to analyze, clarify, and resolve defects.
Track defect lifecycle and verify fixes before release.
Highlight quality risks and blockers in a timely manner.

5. Collaboration & Communication

Work closely with cross-functional teams including Product, Business, Engineering, QA, and Support.
Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, backlog grooming, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
Provide clear testing status updates, defect summaries, and risk reports to relevant stakeholders.
Contribute to a quality-focused team culture.

6. QA Process Improvement

Contribute to improving QA processes, test documentation, standards, and best practices.
Identify opportunities to improve testing efficiency, coverage, and quality.
Support automation or testing tool usage where applicable, but the core focus of this role is strong manual testing and business scenario understanding.

Required Skills & Qualifications

For Junior QA Engineer

1–3 years of experience in software testing or quality assurance.
Good understanding of manual testing concepts, test case design, test execution, and defect reporting.
Ability to analyze business scenarios and translate them into test scenarios.
Basic understanding of Agile/Scrum software development process.
Familiarity with bug tracking and test management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, TestRail, or similar.
Good communication, logical thinking, and attention to detail.
Willingness to learn and work closely with senior QA, BA, Product, and Engineering teams.

For Senior QA Engineer

4+ years of experience in software testing or quality assurance.
Strong experience in manual testing, including requirement analysis, test design, test execution, regression testing, integration testing, and defect management.
Strong ability to analyze complex business scenarios, user flows, and acceptance criteria.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
Ability to independently create test plans, test scenarios, test cases, and test reports.
Good understanding of software development lifecycle, testing lifecycle, release process, and quality gates.
Familiarity with API testing tools such as Postman or Swagger is a plus.
Familiarity with automation testing tools or frameworks is a plus, but not mandatory.
Strong communication skills and ability to work with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Developers, and business users.
Good problem analysis, troubleshooting, and risk identification skills.

Nice to Have

Experience in enterprise software, retail, manufacturing, supply chain, ERP, WMS, or business application testing.
Experience supporting UAT with business users.
Basic SQL knowledge for data validation.
Experience with API testing.
Exposure to automation testing is an advantage.
