Key Responsibilities
• Transition Management: Lead and execute storage migration strategies during the environment transition phase.
• Storage Administration: Manage and maintain DASD and Tape storage (IBM DS8000 series, TS7700, or similar).
• SMS Management: Define and maintain DFSMS constructs (Data Class, Storage Class, Management Class, and Storage Group).
• Backup & Recovery: Implement and manage robust backup/restore procedures using DFSMShsm, DFSMSdss, and FDR.
• Performance Tuning: Monitor storage performance and capacity, ensuring optimal I/O response times.
• Disaster Recovery: Participate in DR planning and testing (Mirroring, Replication, GDPS).

1. ROLE OBJECTIVE
As a Mainframe Storage Expert, you will be the backbone of our system transition phase. You will be responsible for managing complex storage environments, ensuring data integrity during migration from the customer's zSystems to the new infrastructure, and optimizing DASD/Tape resources for long-term stability.
Requirement
Experience: 8+ years of deep experience in Mainframe Storage Administration.
Software Suite: Expert knowledge of IBM DFSMS (dfp, hsm, dss, rmm).
Hardware: Hands-on experience with high-end Storage Servers (IBM, HDS, or EMC) and Virtual Tape Systems.
System Tools: Proficiency in JCL, TSO/ISPF, ICKDSF, and Catalog Management.
Migration Tools: Experience with migration tools (TDMF or FDRPAS) is a significant advantage.
Transition Experience: Proven track record in hardware refresh or data center migration projects.
English: High-level English proficiency (mandatory for global stakeholder collaboration).
Working Hours: Must be comfortable working in CET hours (afternoon to late evening in SEA).
Problem Solving: Excellent analytical skills to handle critical storage outages or migration roadblocks.
