Role Summary
We are looking for a Backend Developer with strong Java expertise and a deep interest in backend infrastructure. You will join a team responsible for developing and maintaining systems that support internal editorial workflows—used daily by the organization’s content and production teams. The platforms you build will play a central role in enabling large-scale content interactions and improving curated content delivery.
This role involves backend development in Java, data pipeline creation, GraphQL interfaces, and Postgres-based systems. You will also contribute to infrastructure improvements and collaborate with both backend and frontend teams (TypeScript). Some frontend experience is considered a merit.
You will be working on scalable systems, following features end-to-end from development to production, with rapid feedback loops from internal users.
Skills & Attributes
Knowledge of GraphQL and TypeScript.
Experience working with publishing platforms or CMS.
Experience in internal tools environments where internal users are primary stakeholders.
