Key Responsibilities
Lead and support DB2 for z/OS environment transition to DXC zSystems
Install, configure, upgrade and maintain DB2 subsystems
Ensure system stability, availability and performance
Perform troubleshooting, root cause analysis and issue resolution
Support backup, recovery and disaster recovery processes
Collaborate with z/OS, Storage, IMS and global infrastructure teams
Provide ongoing operational support post-transition

1. ROLE OBJECTIVE
We are seeking a DB2 System Programmer to support a large-scale zSystems transition project, migrating from the customer’s existing zSystems environment.
The engagement will initially focus on environment transition and stabilization, followed by ongoing operational support once the migration phase is completed.
Remote work is acceptable, and the role will collaborate with global teams across different time zones.
Requirement
Strong hands-on experience with IBM DB2 for z/OS
Proven experience as a DB2 System Programmer in enterprise mainframe environments
Solid knowledge of z/OS, SMP/E, installation & maintenance processes
Experience in migration/transition projects
Strong performance tuning and troubleshooting skills
Ability to work independently in a remote, global environment
Good English communication skills
